CONFIRMED:

AMANTI: The stereo systems have been upgraded.

BORREGO: The 2009 Borrego is an all-new full-size SUV, and is Kia's answer to vehicles like the Toyota 4Runner and Ford Explorer. Available with a 3.8 liter V6 as well as Kia's first V8 engine (a 4.6 liter unit producing over 300 horsepower), the Borrego can tow up to 7,500 lbs.

OPTIMA: The Optima is the Rodney Dangerfield of mid-size sedans -- a perfectly good car that doesn't get any respect. For 2009, the Optima gets spruced-up styling inside and out, improved 4-cylinder and V6 engines that develop more power and get better fuel economy, and a stronger commitment to safety, with antilock brakes and electronic stability control now standard. The LX V6 model has been dropped, and a new SX model has been added. A navigation system is now optional on the EX and SX.

RIO: All models get a revised gauge cluster and pre-wiring for SIRIUS Satellite Radio MP3 playback. LX and SX models get a standard USB jack for the stereo, and steering wheel mounted audio controls have been added to the LX/SX Power Package.

RONDO: The uplevel EX model is now available with a 4-cylinder engine in addition to last year's V6. All Rondos get a standard USB jack for the stereo, and EX models offer an optional navigation system.

SEDONA: The interior of Kia's minivan has been tweaked with improved carpets and miscellaneous trim bits. A navigation system is now offered on EX models.

SORENTO: The Sorento SUV gets minor changes to interior and exterior trim. Active headrests are now standard in all Sorentos, and EX models get standard leather seats. A new Value Package combines a sunroof, leather seats and 16" alloy wheels.

SOUL: (photo) Kia plans to introduce a production vehicle based on the boxy Soul concept; look for it to debut as a 2010 model.

SPECTRA: Active headrests are now standard. EX models get standard cruise control, and a sunroof and antilock brakes have been added to the EX's option list.

SPORTAGE: Styling has been revised inside and out. Keyless entry is now standard and a navigation system is optional.
